My name is Jan.

I'm a psychologist and psychotherapist.

I know from my own experience that talking about life's difficulties may be a big challenge. That's why during our work together, I aim to create a safe space where all parts of you are welcome - even the parts that have been misunderstood, rejected, ridiculed, or hurt by others. My goal is to support you in the process of building the life you want to live.

I hold a PhD in psychology and I am a certified contextual behavioral psychotherapist. I have been working in the field of mental health for over seven years. In my clinical practice, I work with individuals facing a wide range of difficulties and therapeutic goals, with a particular focus on those experiencing self-criticism and shame.

Alongside my clinical work, I am involved in research and teaching. I conduct research and have been lecturing for the past six years in the Clinical Psychology MA program at SWPS University, as well as teaching in psychotherapy training programs.

I am a member of the Scientific and Educational Committee of the Polish Chapter of Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, where I contribute to the development of psychotherapy training standards.

I provide supervision for the work of the Lambda Warsaw Assciation hotline team and I support psychotherapists in working ethically and effectively with sexually, gender, and relationally diverse clients.

qualifications

I acquired my therapeutic qualifications through completing numerous training programs, including Advanced Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI) (ACT Now Purposeful Living, Ireland), comprehensive training in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) (Aarhus University, Denmark), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) - level I training (The Seattle Clinic, USA), Motivational Interviewing training (Polish Motivational Interviewing Society), Solution-Focused Therapy - level I training (Centrum PSR).

My work is subject to regular supervision.

I work in Polish and English.
